PowerPoint is a visual medium that is perfect for presentations. Unfortunately, it tends to encounter the most common problem, user error. Learning how to put together a presentation is relatively easy, but making an effective one is not so. This is where we Slide Marvels, the PowerPoint Design Experts, succor
Let’s start with “How to select the appropriate fonts for your presentation”
In PowerPoint, every tool has a unique feature. The basic Presentation even without pictures, icons, etc. gets life with the “Text”. So choosing the right font makes the right presentation.

The picture, icons and the designs the PowerPoint designers choose reflects the Client Brand. Similarly, the font they use will reflect the personality they are trying to convey. Hence we have to take the utmost care in selecting the type of font we use to align with the rest of the presentation. Though the design, pictures and all the elements all go in hands, a poorly chosen font typeface will blemish the entire presentation. So it’s very important that we choose the font with the right “voice”.

We may either choose the default fonts or custom fonts. But if we choose the custom font, we have to ensure that it’s commonly available in all the systems. If the font is not installed in the client system, though it is perfectly designed in ours, it will be misaligned and will give a sloppy-look presentation as a whole while presented by the client.

To avoid this, the PowerPoint designers have to make certain that they provide the custom font to the client or can embed the custom font in the PowerPoint itself. But the later increases the file size, but circumvent the risk of font uninstalled leading to a poor presentation.

Let’s hear how the PowerPoint design experts embed the custom font in the PowerPoint presentation.

Step 1: Download the custom font. Corroborate that it is installed in your system
Step 2: Go to “File” tab and click “Options”
Step 3: Under the PowerPoint options, you will see “Save”
Step 4: Check “Embed fonts in this file”

If you are using PowerPoint 2003:

Step 1: Go to “Tools” menu and select “Options”
Step 2: go to “Save” tab and check “Embed fonts”
If there are less occurrence of the special fonts in the whole presentation, then a design expert will suggest you to copy that text and paste it as a picture by using “Paste Special” option. This will extricate the whole process of embedding the font in the PowerPoint presentation file leaving you save time and file size
Tips: Always the design experts make sure that the font is installed in the system by opening a blank presentation, keying some text in the box and check for the installed custom font in the “Font” menu. While installing the font all the presentation files should be closed to avoid the replication of the installed font
